Archbishop Polak calls on Vatican to root out perpetrators of child sexual abuse in the church




 





Following the recent release of a piece which highlights abuse cover up by Priests  in Poland, Archbishop Wojciech Polak, chief shepherd of the Gniezno Archdiocese who also serves as the Delegate of Child Protection of Polish Bishops Conference
has asked the Vatican to launch investigation into the happenings.

The said piece sheds light on two brothers who seek to who journey on to square up to a Priest who is alleged to have abused them during their infancy stage.

Archbishop Polak calls on the Church authority to assign an investigator to the issue and root out all possible “answers”.


The said documentary dubbed "Hide and Seek" has received astounding audience with over 1.9 million views on YouTube making it the second documentary on the subject by brothers Marek and Tomasz Sekielski since it release on Saturday.

Background 

The story threads on the line of two victims as they attempt to bring to books individuals in the Church who were responsible for covering up their abuse and hints that a senior bishop knew about the allegations for years but failed to take any action.
The documentary also touches not only the sexual abuse of children within the Church in Poland, but also the abuse of power by the Church hierarchy.
